    Catching Fire Cast Predictions

Googled “Catching Fire Cast”. Then, I saw some of the posts of fans. These posts contain the names/pictures of actors that they want to portray the Catching Fire characters.

I have decided that I, too, will create a post about my Catching Fire cast predictions. I have my personal choices of course. I share some of the ideas of some of the fans and some… no. Not really thought of it. Hahaha!

    For Finnick Odair:

Described in the book as someone who’s buff/fit and really handsome. Two names/faces instantly came to mind. Zac Efron and Captain America’s Chris Evans.

    For Johanna Mason:

Tough as nails. Witty responses. To tell you the truth, while I was reading Catching Fire and Mockingjay, I always imagine Emma Stone or Mila Kunis for this character. But as I surfed the internet for other prospects, fans would like Glee’s Naya Rivera to be cast as Johanna Mason. Well, Santana (Naya’s character) is really like Johanna Mason, except Johanna is not a cheerleader and Santana doesn’t throw axes.

    For Beetee and Wiress:

Smart and wears these thick eyeglasses. There was actually only one actor that came to mind when Beetee was described. I thought of the guy who played Arwin in Disney’s Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Brian Stepanek.

Wiress. While I was reading the second book, I felt sympathy for this woman since she was thought as someone who was crazy. She can sense things before any other person in the Quarter Quell. Hmmm. I never really imagined an actress playing this role. I just imagined Wiress as a middle-aged woman who’s kind of thin. But looking at the predictions of the other fans, they wanted Emma Thompson to portray Wiress. Which is not a bad prediction. I like it.

    For Mags:

According to http://hungergamesina.wordpress.com/2012/05/15/catching-fire-casting-call-officially-begin/ there are only 12 people to be cast as new characters and Mags is not part of it. It’s one of two things, they have a Mags already. Or maybe, they won’t be casting a Mags at all. Looking at the comments from the fans, they are disappointed about the absence of Mag’s name in the list.

Mags is an old lady that can’t run nor can she walk without a cane. Though, Mags can still create hooks. She is also Finnick’s teacher in Finnick’s Hunger Games. In all honesty, I really thought of Betty White as Mags. Oh, Mags. *sobs*

    For Romulus Thread:

While I was doing this blog, I kept on thinking of actors who could play the cruel Peacekeeper of District 12. I thought of one. Crispin Glover. I think his portrayal as the silent killer who like to rip off people’s hair in the Charlie’s Angels movies made me choose him as Thread. He was also the right hand man of the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland (2010), which he was also a villain.

For the other characters like Cashmere, Gloss, Twill, Bonnie, Blight, etc. I think that whoever will be cast for those roles will really deliver. These six characters, for me, are really important and should be in the movie.
